Dunning

specifies #6 "Membership cancellation", paragraph 6, of the constitution as of 2005-02-09
1. There are no overdue fines.
2. Four Weeks before the Membership expires a reminder message will be sent.
3. At membership expiry date access to OpenPKG.net will be denied.
4. Four Weeks after the Membership expired cancellation occurs.
5. At cancellation the unique username will be retained for an indefinite amount of time.

Admission fee

specifies #7 "Membership fee", paragraph 1, 3 and 5, of the constitution as of 2005-02-09
1. The admission fee is EUR 30.-.
2. There is no admission fee for founding members.

Membership fee

specifies #7 "Membership fee", paragraph 2, 3 and 5, of the constitution as of 2005-02-09
1. The membership fee is EUR 10.-/month.
2. The membership fee must be paid annually in advance.
3. A receipt for the membership fee will be prepared.

Sustaining membership

1. Sustaining members are members that support the foundation with additional financial resources.
2. Sustaining members pay voluntary money in addition to their membership fee.
3. Sustaining members are publically listed when their voluntary money exeeds EUR 200.- per year.
4. The optional public listing of sustaining members is grouped by year of payment and sorted descending.
5. The per-year group of the public listing of sustaining members is sorted descending by amount of money. Equal amounts are sorted ascending by the time of payment.
6. The actual amount of money will not be made public.
7. A receipt will be made out of the voluntary money.

Sponsors

1. Sponsors are contractually capable real persons or legal entities holding rights that support the foundation with funds, equipment or services.
2. The optional public listing of sponsors is grouped by year of payment and sorted descending.
3. The per-year group of the public listing of sponsors is ordered upon individual agreement.
4. The way of designating sponsoring is arranend individually.
5. A receipt will be made out of money sponsoring.
6. An acknowledgement will be made for sponsored equipment or service.

Assessment for active members

specifies #8 "Types of members", paragraph 2 of the constitution as of 2005-02-09
1. The membership should last for at least six months.
2. There must be no outstanding payment of membership fees.
3. The activities must be affirmed my an interceder out of the board of directors.
4. Beginning 2007-03-01 the member must have agreed to the OpenPKG Contributor Agreement (OCA).

Election of the President and Vice President

Every active member can make an application to become the President or Vice President. In case a member cannot participate personally it might delegate it's voting rights to someone acting on it's behalf. This proxy must be a member with the same or higher voting privilege within the foundation. The President is elected first, then the Vice President. The candidate receiving the most votes for a seat wins. This majority (Relative Mehrheit) weighting is an exception to the usual decisionmaking based on bare majority (Einfache Mehrheit) as discussed in the constitution (15.2). Winners have the option to accept their voting.

Language Versions:

The scope of the OpenPKG Foundation is an international one, hence our correspondence language is English.

On the other hand, the OpenPKG Foundation is established as an organization under German law, so for legal reasons the reference versions of the Constitution and Bylaws have to be in German.

Hence the Constitution and Bylaws are provided in both languages!
